Taranaki Youth Boost

A Partner-managed and supported programme to nurture the talent, learning and development resources available to ambitious school-age tamariki and rangatahi.

As a way of giving back to the province and supporting our young people, Steelformers through Brendon Back and Brent Taylor pioneered their Steelformers Youth Boost. Each month, they have chosen two school-age applicants from Taranaki who are struggling to fund their participation or secure training in sport, music, artistic or academic pursuits to receive a donation of $500 towards their chosen activity.

Over the past four years, close to $50,000 has been channeled through Youth Boost to boost the talents of our ambitious youngsters.

Now together and in partnership with the Taranaki Foundation, we’re offering other members of the NP Partners forum the opportunity to become involved in the programme.

Youth Boost welcomes annual contributions ranging from $1,500 to $10,000. By adding to our collective fund, we’re striving to support 100 Boosts and Taranaki young people each year. Your participation, regardless of the amount or duration, is crucial in helping us achieve our goal of empowering local youth.

Project Marketing & Communication

To help businesses support Taranaki Youth Boost and share their impact, a dedicated Partner Kit has been developed with everything needed to share the powerful stories of our youth and amplify our community impact.

As part of the overall Marketing Strategy, we also incorporated digital billboards to amplify reach and build brand awareness across key locations in New Plymouth.
