How we work

Our forum is led by a public/private sector management team, with the support of an Advisory Group. With the full support of NPDC, they are responsible for facilitating project discussions, identifying then delivering on projects, securing the investment required and managing Partner communications and events.

Partners are segmented into Corporate, Professional Services, Trust & Foundations and Individual Partners.

Taranaki Foundation is NP Partners’ funds management partner. As a charitable foundation created for Taranaki by the people of Taranaki, we are on a mission to be a renowned foundation for giving that provides an inter-generational legacy for our regions. We do this through nurturing and growing community giving, partnerships and philanthropy. Connecting people who care with causes that matter.

Partners Present is a regular informal monthly gathering where we showcase our Partner organisations. Each is invited to give a short 15-minute presentation introducing themselves, ideally led by the CEO or other senior leader. Through this, we invite you to share your brand’s strategic focus, business priorities, customer profiles and the community impact you target. This will be followed by questions from the floor. These are usually hosted by one of our Partners, with refreshments being served.

Partner events

Throughout the year, Partners are invited together with colleagues and friends to a number of informal social occasions and BBQ events. Then in addition, we hold live briefings to announce significant new projects, or to update on progress on a project already underway.

Partner communications

Our primary communication is an email newsletter including updates on projects, new initiatives for consideration, introductions for new Partners and their organisations, and the dates of upcoming gatherings like Partners Present and other formal and informal gatherings. In addition, we send out a survey each year to gauge Partner satisfaction with the programme and interest in supporting the range of projects supported by NPDC and NP Partners.
